We want you to love your art in your home lighting. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with a standard catalog original painting or unopened DIY kit, you may initiate a return or exchange within 7 calendar days of confirmed courier delivery.
The artwork must remain in its original, unhung condition, free from environmental smoke/moisture exposure, with all original protective glassine, custom wooden framing, and Certificate of Authenticity intact.
2. Step-by-Step Return Process

Repackaging Guidelines
Our logistics team will send a step-by-step video guide on safely re-sealing the artwork inside its original 5-layer protective casing.
Doorstep Insured Reverse Pickup
Blue Dart or DHL will be scheduled to inspect external packaging and pick up the insured parcel from your address.
Studio Inspection & Refund/Exchange
Within 48 hours of studio arrival, our conservators verify condition and release your full refund or dispatch your chosen exchange piece.
3. Return Shipping Costs
- Defective, Transit Damaged, or Incorrect Items: 100% complimentary reverse shipping arranged and paid for by Thangaraj Arts.
- Change of Preference / Size Re-sizing: The collector covers the actual subsidized return courier and insurance fee (typically ₹750–₹1,800 depending on dimensions and location).
4. Items Ineligible for Return
- Custom-commissioned artworks crafted to bespoke specifications or personalized family portraits.
- Artworks damaged due to improper post-delivery installation, liquid cleaning chemicals, or dropping.
- DIY Kits where inner pigment pouches, brush wraps, or gold leaf seals have been opened.
