Refund & Cancellation Policy

Transparent processing timelines, cancellation guidelines, and seamless Razorpay refunds.

1. Order Cancellation Window

We recognize that circumstances may change. Cancellation eligibility depends on the type of product:

  • Standard Original Paintings & Ready-to-Ship Works: Orders may be cancelled within 12 hours of placement or before physical courier hand-off, whichever occurs first. A 100% full refund will be initiated immediately.
  • DIY Painting Kits & Supplies: Cancellations accepted anytime prior to shipment dispatch.
  • Custom Art Commissions: Cancellations accepted within 24 hours of placement prior to gesso foundation preparation. Once artisan labor commences, milestone terms apply (see Section 3).

2. Refund Processing & Banking Timelines

Approved refunds are credited directly back to the original source payment instrument utilized during checkout:

  • UPI Payments (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm): 24 to 48 Hours
  • Net Banking & Debit Cards: 3 to 5 Business Days
  • Credit Cards: 5 to 7 Business Days (depends on issuing bank billing cycle)
  • International Cards / PayPal: 7 to 10 Business Days

3. Custom Art Commission Milestone Terms

Because bespoke commissioned artworks involve non-recoverable material preparation (such as custom teakwood joinery, 24k gold foil cutting, and dedicated master artisan hours):

  • Stage 1 (Compositional Pencil Sketch): 100% refund of deposit less ₹2,500 architectural sketch preparation fee.
  • Stage 2 (Gesso Relief & Gold Foil Layering): 50% refund of total commission value.
  • Stage 3 (Final Color & Varnishing Approval): Non-refundable once final high-resolution photographic proof is approved.

4. Damaged in Transit Guarantee

If an artwork arrives damaged, please photograph the external crating and damaged artwork within 48 hours of delivery and email support@thangarajarts.com.

Upon quick review, we will provide you with your choice of: (a) 100% Full Refund including all shipping fees, OR (b) Complimentary expedited remaking/restoration by our master artisans with highest priority.

5. Non-Refundable Items & Services

  • Digital masterclass access once video modules have been accessed.
  • Digital or physical gift cards once issued and redeemed.
  • Opened DIY kits where paint vacuum seals have been unsealed.
